This paper explores the implementation of face recognition technology as an alternative to conventional attendance systems. The "FaceAttend" system, a case study at a university, demonstrates the viability of using facial recognition for automating attendance tracking. The study analyzes the system’s design, performance, security concerns, and the effectiveness of its implementation in a real-world college environment.The increasing need for efficient and accurate attendance systems in educational institutions has led to the exploration of innovative technologies, such as facial recognition.
